Day - 1
Match No.1 League Round
Swords Of Sultan V/s Joyful Riders Monday 2nd February, 2026
Hello!
My Sweet and Sour Readers,
Today is the first match of Asia World Cup! Yes, its exciting and for many team players it can be a time of uncertainty and heart throbbing moment.
Both teams, waiting patiently to play to win and move forward towards the finals.
Samara one of the most elegant and experienced host took her station, to host the first match of the tournament.
Swords of Sultan team, were first to open with the batting on the glorious green field stadium, while Joyful Riders were ready to bowl in the first innings. Both teams were confident, but in this game there is only one winner at the end of match!
1st Innings
Daisy sweetheart of the team was so sorry, to make the highest score for her team by 29 runs. Followed by the lovely Koyal making 26 runs.
There were 2 duckies in the pond Snowflakes and myself, Bonny.
Altogether the 8 players, in the team of Swords of Sultan, collectively made 96 runs between them making a target of 97 runs for the opponent team. Koyal, last batsperson was, not out.
Joyful Riders bowlers, John in 1st over took 1 wkt, 2nd over Anikool took 1 wkt, In 3rd over the "dashing and handsome" Sidharth of the team displayed magnificent bowling, took 3 wkts.
Sweet Muskaan, a very experienced all rounder, took 2 wkts in the last 4th over.
2nd Innings
In the 2nd innings Joyful Riders Captain John, were ready and eager to demolish the opponent team Swords of Sultan.
In the first over Nikita "ko jor se jhatka laga" by the aggressive bowler Ishara on the first ball and was knocked out of the stadium.
John the Captain, who had "swallowed a jar of happy pills" for the team made the highest score of 24 runs.
Sophisticated Safiullah made 22 runs and Anikool "wannabe Romeo" made 20 runs.
Altogether the team of Joyful Riders made 100 runs with a victorious win over Swords of Sultan. John and Anikool were not out.
Swords of Sultan bowlers, bold Ishara took 2 wkts in her 1st over. MrCi, the "cha cha cha" wide dancer, took 3 magnificent wkts in the 2nd over and graceful Snowflakes took 1 wkt in her 3rd over.
There were two duckies from the team of Joyful Riders Nikita and Ms Giggles.
Unfortunately, Bonny "by default", took 0 wkts in the 4th over, bowling skills did not support her today! Sorry my team mates.
Its not checkmate yet for the team of Swords of Sultan, we still got one more move left to make!
On the whole, the match was very sober and enjoyable to watch. We entire Blue Horse Club Official members would like to congratulate Joyful Riders on their first winning of the match. Well done!
I also would like to add, how graceful the team Captain of Swords of Sultan Sonu's reaction was to loose his first match.
The new "Clint Eastwood" image look, Sonu was cool, calm and collective, was happy with the his team-mates performance.
Even though Joyful Riders won the match, few of their team players behaviour, did not go unnoticed after the match was over.
There was trolling from the team of Joyful Riders which is not a good sportsmanship on any account.
Meanness is ugly, so please refrain from it in future. Thank you!
As I said, I will report the good, the bad and the ugly!
Score Summary of Match No.1 : Sword Of Sultan 96 all out in 24 balls, Joyful Player's 100 loss of 6 wickets in 23 Balls.
On a brighter side of life, I would like to thank all the graceful and hard working persons behind the scene, of making it happen, Blue Horse Club's Mini Asia Cup Tournament! :- Organizers Tatsat and Shy Butterfly, Host Samara, Admins:- Sunaina, Ishara and July, Official Scorers Sweet Muskan and Kishore.

The doors for Asia Cup stadium opened on time. Before you had time to settle down with a cup of coffee, the enthusiastic players of team Noisy Neighbours and Real Hearts followed by the cheering spectators rushed in to watch the 2nd match of the day!
I must say, both teams arrived punctually, all dressed in there glamour rags. One can feel and smell the air with aroma of expensive perfume. The whole stadium was filled with excitement of chitter chatter with one another, eagerly waiting for the outcome between the two great teams.
The stadium felt warm, friendly with its welcoming atmosphere as everyone greeted one another amicably.
Captain H20 of Noisy Neighbours team's lined up all his players to bat first, while Real Hearts Captain Mrs Burhaan got her bowlers ready for bowling.
Ist Innings
Ochin Deep, solemn player of Noisy Neighbour was the first to strike the first ball. Without any hesitation, Sirf Hum Tum bowler of Real Hearts, knocked Ochin out with fierce bowling on 'quack quack' duck! Not a good start for Noisy Neighbours. Insidious stayed on the crease and made valuable 14 runs the highest scorer for his team. Flamingstar just managed to make 9 runs and lost his wicket.
Captain H20 and Marwish was stumped out cold. Collectively team of Noisy Neighbors managed to make 38 runs all out. The target was set for 39 for Real Hearts team.
It was a bowling pitch today. In first over Sirf Hum Tum took 2 wickets, Burhaan took 3 wickets. Jaggu on a hattrick took 3 wickets. All 8 players were out in just 2.3 balls.
Oooooohhhhhh veeeeee! One can hear the loud remarks by the spectators, of target being low, blah blah blah!
2nd innings should be interesting to watch. Captain H20 and team really needs to up their game with bowling tactics!
2nd Innings
Real Hearts Captain Mrs Burhaan and team felt extremely optimistic with a target set before them of 39 runs.
The first over was not a good start for Real Hearts as they lost 3 wickets to bowler Saghar. It didn't fair good in the 2nd over either, as they lost 4 wickets to Captain H20. What an amazing, magnificent bowling by H20 and Saghar of Noisy Neighbours.
Real Hearts batsperson Johny, Mystic Melody and Sirf Hum Tum, were all stumped out without mercy. Seven wickets lost within 2 overs. Between the rest of the batsperson, they collectively managed to make 29 runs in 2 overs.
In the third over, Burhaan, last batsman standing, needed 10 runs to win the game. The spectators, the team players all were sitting on the edge of their seats. Some dentures rattling, some were biting fake nails. One can feel the tension in the air, everyone is on edge, mystified.
OOOOOOHHHHHHH VEEEEEEEEEE!!! BVCW bowler of Noisy Neighbour got the short straw to save his team. All hope rested on BVCW to clean bowl Burhaan out!
Well, well, well! Burhaan outsmarted the bowler with a slick move and managed to gain 11 runs in the 3rd over. Burhaan, skillfully took his team to an amazing victory! Real Hearts score at the end of the match was 40/7/2.2.
Real Hearts Captain, Mrs Burhaan full of emotions and tears of joy, ran on the field to embrace her husband, and proudly whispered 'I love you' Burhaan. Who said there's no romance in the world of cricket!

Joyful Players V/s Joyful Almighty
Hello Readers!
Welcome back to the third match of the Asia Cup Mini Tournament!
Joyful Players verses Joyful Almighty. These two teams were once in the same egg basket and had to be spilt in two. One can call it brother or sister from another mother. Yeah! Please don't be confused, it gets better and probably more confusing and chaotic as it goes on and on......
I must say its a challenge to be an Organizer, as one has to deal with all sorts of diverse personalities. Did today's match go smoothly?
Well lets see... One needed patient, endurance, understanding, accommodating, forgiving, letting things go etc etc etc... Lets all remember not one of us are perfect, we are all born with an uncountable flaws. But, hey! We do our best to make things run smoothly in a chaotic minefield.
Today, was that day which reminded me of a famous quote from 1994 film Forrest Gump.
'Life is Like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get!'
Lets get back for a moment to the egg basket.....Not all the eggs in the basket were hatched for the team of Joyful Almighty. What to do! Get new eggs which were hatched. Time was ticking. Joyful Almighty team was now formed with 'The Magnificent Seven' players. 'Hallelujah '!
Now that I got all my frustration out, lets roll and watch the match!

Both batspersons Nikita and Anikool played aggressively. Nikita made 24 runs and highest score of 41 runs were made by Anikool. Unfortunately Captain Ashok bowler was not able to take any wickets in his over. Brilliant batting skills were displayed by both batspersons.
